The Ed Greenwood Group
Four New Creative Coteries
Onder Radio | TEGG Artifacts | TEGG Costume & Livery | Quickblade Games
TORONTO—The Ed Greenwood Group (TEGG) is proud to announce another flurry of new creative coteries. With these new partnerships TEGG continues its expansion beyond novels into other creative forms. The Roundtable Podcast’s Dave Robison will initialize a TEGG podcast later this year as part of Onder Librum, the online portal to all things TEGG. Jeweller and artisan Kristie Courtnell, who creates under the name Lady Lilleigh, brings her years of experience and considerable talent to the TEGG Artifact division and is already working on a series of essence traps for the Hellmaw setting. For more than two decades Erminia Diamantopoulos has dressed actors for film, television and stage. She will now bring all that experience, and her special eye for what makes a garment worthy of remark, to each of the TEGG settings. Quickblade Games’ focus will be on role playing adventures and mini games. Editorial director Steven E. Schend’s decades of experience at companies such as TSR and Wizards of the Coast will be put to good use as he and his team riff adventures, monsters and more for RPG fans while also focusing on mini games; perfect for those gamers who don’t always have 4+ hours to set aside for gaming.
“It is both an honour and a joy to be working with my long-time friend on such an incredible project,” said Schend, “Ed’s vision for his Creatives is inspiring as is his dedication to the readers and gamers.” Courtnell looks forward, “The inclusion of artists and artisans as equal partners in this new project is fantastic and starting with over a dozen fully realized worlds for my team and I to play in is like letting kids loose in a candy store; so many exciting choices! Where do we start first?” Costume & Livery’s first project will be a trench coat from the Hellmaw setting. “I love working in film and television,” said Diamantopoulos, “But Greenwood’s vision for his new company is truly exhilarating…his commitment to each different creative process is stimulating and refreshing…I can’t wait to show the fans what we have been working on!” Starting as a singular podcast Dave Robison plans to offer TEGG fans a lot more, “Greenwood has brought together hundreds of authors, designers, artisans and other creatives covering dozens of art forms and is letting them loose to have as much fun as they can. His energy and enthusiasm for his creatives is heartening and enlivening…this is going to make great radio!”
These new partnerships give TEGG creative dimensions to explore unlike most other traditional publishing companies. “I am sincerely humbled by the outpouring of support for what I’m trying to accomplish,” Said Greenwood. “The talent, energy and inspired ideas that our new partners are bring to TEGG is exhilarating! Writing and creating has never been this much fun and I can’t wait to enjoy their creations myself. This is a brilliant group of very creative individuals and I’m proud to have them join our Sessorium.”
The Ed Greenwood Group, a new transmedia publishing company from the creator of the Forgotten Realms®, launches 31st October, 2015. The first novel, Your World Is Doomed! is a brand-new Ed Greenwood title and the first novel in a new urban fantasy setting called Hellmaw—6 story arcs, 85 novels, more than 150 short works plus games and Artifacts. Next year (2016) will see the launch of a more traditional sword-and-sorcery setting code-named Pony Island Adventures; novels based in the universe created for the board game Folklore: The Affliction and Quickblade Games—TEGG’s role playing and mini game division headed by the redoubtable Steven E. Schend. More settings in more genres will follow over the next ten years—For Wolf & Empire (steampunk), Lost Princesses of Mars (space opera), and In So Deep (sex fantasy), to name only a few.
